Our2009 broadcast season kicks off on Friday night, August 22, 2009! We have a big game withtwo of last season's best teams going head to head! The Memorial Tigers are traveling to Jerry Brewer Alumni Stadium for what shouldbe a great battle between two teams who eye a State Championship.

Last year, Jasper went 8-3-0 on the season with losses coming at the hands of Heritage Hills, Mt. Carmel, Illinois and Vincennes Lincoln. Jasper wnet 3 games into the I.H.S.A.A. playoffs with two wins over Evansville Central and Evansville Reitz. The Wildcats then ran into Columbus East who ended their season

The Memorial Tigers were the BIG surprise of 2008. The Tigers went 12-2-0 in 2008 after posting a 3-9-0 season the year before. Larry Mattingly had his players believing they were capable of going to STATE, and that is exactly what they did. In the regular season they lost to Jasper in the first game of the season, but as their confidence grew, Memorial was able to knock off two of the teams who posted wins over the Wildcats later in the season. Memorial had late season wins over both Heriatge Hills and Vincennes Lincoln.
